PAF rules 2nd DC Athletic Festival

DAVAO CITY – The Philippine Air Force bagged eight gold medals to take the over-all championship in the 19 and above category at the 2nd Davao City Athletic Festival last Sunday, March 24 at the University of Mindanao Sports Complex in Matina.

Ken Francis Hardin won two medals - boy’s 200m and long jump to emerge as the Most Valuable Player.

The others were Sonny Wagdos [men’s 5K], Husain Lorana [men’s 800m], Sharad Khumar [men’s high jump], Jessel Lumaspas [women’s 200m], Bernalyn Bejoy [women’s 800m] and Maria Jona Lina Abutas [women’s 5K].

Charlenne Samontina of Starland won the women’s 1500m and placed second in the 400m as the women’s MVP.

The Leyte Sports Academy and BBG Team A of Davao City were the over-all champions in the 18 Below and 13 Below respectively.
