Aton, Limpangog rule Under 17 in Araw chess fest

DAVAO CITY -- Gabrielle Aton and Aaron Limpangog ruled the Under 17 of 87th Araw ng Dabaw Chess tournament held March 16, 17, 23 and 24 at the Gaisano Cinema in Bajada.

Aton of Mintal Comprehensive High School won the Under 17 girl’s round robin with five points.

Second was Caerel Shane Mantilla of University of Mindanao with four points.

Third was Ruth Literatus of Dona Carmen Denia NHS with three points.

Limpangog of Baguio National School of Arts and Trades, on the other hand, topped boy’s under 17 with seven points.

Jalf Pitulan of Ateneo de Davao University was second with five points.

Namael Naetan Tapere of Philippine Nikkei Jin International School was third with five points also.

1st – Monica Lorraine Togonon [Dona Enrique Bustamante NHS], 2nd – Hadassah Ria Literatus [Dona Carmen Denia NHS], 3RD – Beatrice Aton [Mintal Comprehensive HS]

1st – Nathan Segara [out of school youth], 2nd – John Miguel Saldo [Pilar Rodriguez IS], 3RD-Carl Joseph Echavia [PNJKIS]

Under 13 boy’s

1st – Lance Andrei Lao [Mintal Comprehensive HS], 2ND – Aaron Aton [MCHS], 3RD – Kurt Cobain Manliguez [Maranat Ha Christian Academy]

Under 13 Girl’s

1st – Cyrish Elaine Magalso [Sta. Ana Central ES], 2ND – Czarina Ashley Mateo [Matina Central ES] 3RD – Pauline Hubay [Cabantian ES]

Under 11 boy’s

1st – Cipriano Angelo Magalso [DCNHS], 2ND- James Antoine Van Reponte [Tugbok CES], 3RD – Ricardo Narcilla IV [Magallanes ES]

Under 11 Girl’s
