
Batal, Asumbrado win in DUKC VI

DAVAO CITY – Female boxers Marielie Batal and Marrielle Asumbrado, both of Batang Pantukan beat separate rivals in the Davao Ultimate Knockout Challenge VI last March 17 at the Elorde Davao Gym in Matina.
Batal displayed more punches to outpunch RB Jean dela Peña of Muay Thai and Fitness Boxing Team-Nabunturan in the 46 kilogram.
Asumbrado, on the other hand, demolished Cristy Cabeza of BT Boxing Gym in the 54 kilogram bout.
Two of the coaches from Elorde - Reymark Antaran and Jhay Ferolino beat separate opponents from Davao de Oro Muay Thai and Fitness.
Antaran demolished Noel Rosales [52kgs] while Ferolino crushed Russel Calasang [51kgs].
Another coach Jojet Baliete of Batang Pantukan outslugged VJ Sarmogenes of Elorde by a unanimous decision.
Organizer Alfie Angelo Jonsay awarded the prizes together with matchmaker Rodel Garde.
