
SANMAN CAGEFEST: LMP Blue, Malnegro prevail

DAVAO CITY – The LMP Blue and Malnegro teams scored one-sided games as the 1st Sanman Basketball Club Inter-Color League continued Monday, March 11 at the Goldstar Gym in Bo. Obrero.
Mark Cagoco, Tav Suico and Mark Suico combined for LMP to take the halftime lead, 40-31.
But San-ei cut their deficit to 47-45 after a 7-14 run by Ar Ar Wong, Ruel Fernandez, Charlie Dela Cruz and Charlie Uy.
Then Suico and Toyay Pilleda scored with eight while Manok Molina and Rengie Molinas added seven each as LMP exploded to the final score of 89-68.
Suico top scored with 18 followed by Cagoco with 15 and Molina and Pilleda with 13 each.
Wong led San-ei with 14 followed by Kim Josol 10 and Fernandez with nine.
In the second game, Malnegro immediately took a 22-11 lead courtesy of Ernie Malnegro, Marz Natad, and King Dela Cerna.
Team Pude tried to come back but Malnegro continued to widen their lead, 39-15 at the end of the third quarter.
Malnegro proved to be one the strongest teams in the league with the final score of 73-53.
Malnegro was led by Kim Son with 14 followed by Natad with 12 while for Pude were Eldon Diano and Steven Arizo with 15 and 10, respectively.
