
Inter-Collegiate Men's & Women's Volleyball League on March 15-17

DAVAO CITY –- Twenty-nine teams will see action in the 87th Araw ng Dabaw Inter-Collegiate Men's and Women's Volleyball League set on March 8-10, 15-17 at the University of Mindanao Matina Gym in Matina.
Sixteen teams will battle in the men’s division while 13 will collide in the women’s division.
The men's division will be played on March 8 to 10 while the distaff side will be on March 15 to 17.
“This is the biggest collegiate volleyball league in Davao City as all school associations are participating like DACS, PRISAA, SCUAA are joining,” said Sherwin Maganda, president of the organizing Balibolista De Dabaw.
The favorites in the men’s division are the Holy Cross of Davao College, University of Mindanao, DMMA College of Southern Philippines and Ateneo de Davao University while in the women’s division are UM, HCDC, AdDU and Jose Maria College.
The other teams are Asian International School Aeronautics and Technology, Lyceum of the Philippine Davao, Mapua Malayan Colleges, Philippine Women’s College, San Pedro College, St. John Paul II College, University of Immaculate Conception, University of Southeastern Philippines, University of the Philippines and Davao City National High School and Rizal Memorial Colleges.
The champion will win P10,000 while the second P8,000, third P7,000 and fourth P5,000.
The event is sponsored by the Davao City Sports Development Office.
