DAVAO CITY -- FM Austin Jacob Literatus scored 6.5 points to rule the Road to Professional Chess Association of the Philippines (PCAP) Championship 6th Leg of the PCAP Champions held last February 24 at the Damosa Market Basket in Lanang.

Literatus only needed a draw in the last game with Ferdinand Leysa to earn P10,000 cash prize plus the right to represent Davao in the PCAP Champions in Manila.

Literatus defeated Prince Vincent Rameses Anania in the first round. He then crushed AGM Michael Cuamag, Anthony Mosqueda, Jimmy Dano and NM Henry Roger Lopez.

Leysa finished second place with 5.5 points and got P7,000.

Lopez tied with Jason Salubre, FM Christian Gian Karlo Arca, Anthony Mosqueda and Reynaldo Gempero Jr. with 5 points each.

NM Macacuna Macala is at 4.5 points.

It was sanctioned by the PCAP and the Games and Amusements Board while the tournament was organized and sponsored by Engr. Allan Diez.
