SUPER lightweight Ali “The Carnage” Canega will go to Japan to fight Mikyo Watarai on February 13 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Both of them are undefeated with Canega has a slight advantage. Canega has 10 wins and one draw while Watarai has only four victories.

The 26-year-old Canega had a total of three fights last year.

He previously won the Philippine Boxing Federation super lightweight title by a majority decision over Jhun Rick Carcedo of Davao City last September 23, 2023 at Mandaluyong College of Science and Technology Gym in Mandaluyong City.

Canega also earlier stopped Edison Berwela (3rd round by retirement) and Antonio Siemundo (1st round by knockout).

Watarai, on the other hand, has beaten Ju Wu by a unanimous decision last August 8, 2023 at Korakuen Hall.

The main event pits Japan Boxing Commission Japanese super welterweight champion Yuichi Ideta against challenger Masaki Kobavashi.

The promoter is Takashi Misako of Misako Promotions.
