Kenneth “The Lover Boy” Llover won the World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Continental bantamweight title with a vigorously fought unanimous decision victory over Edward Heno on November 5, 2023 in General Trias, Cavite.

The 20-year-old Llover, the premier fighter
of the Gerrypens Promotions owned by former three-division world champion Gerry Peñalosa, won over Heno with the identical cards of 116-112 of all three judges.

Llover was the former Philippine youth bantamweight champion and won the WBC continental title maintaining his clean slate of 11-0 with 7 KOs.

On the other hand, Heno, suffered his fourth setback, his third straight loss this year. He lost to Kevin Jake Cataraja for the OPBF super flyweight title last February by unanimous decision.

Heno also was defeated by Songsaeng Phoyaem of Thailand again by unanimous decision for the IBF Pan Pacific super flyweight title.

In his previous bouts, Llover defeated James Pagaling by KO, Ramil Antaran by TKO, Benny Canete by unanimous decision, and Jonathan Francisco by TKO.

He won the Philippine Youth bantamweight title against Pagaling by fourth round knockout.

Heno faced Mexican Elwin Soto for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) world light flyweight title in October 2019, but lost by a unanimous decision.

Heno is the former Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) light flyweight champion and Asian Boxing Federation light flyweight champion.
