UNDEFEATED Weng Cline “Amazona” Verano of Valencia City is now in Bangkok to fight Ketsara Jatpukdee of Thailand for the WBC Asian female flyweight title on October 26 at the Spaceplus Bangkok RCA in Bangkok.

"I feel so happy and nervous," said the 30-year-old Verano.

Verano, who now weights at 112 pounds, will continue her work out at the Highland Boxing Gym of promoter Brico Santig in Bangkok.

Verano, who is staying at SC Park Hotel, recently had training at Cebu Prime Stag Gym and in Hong Kong with her cousin and manager Jake Verano.

Jake Verano will also arrive today, October 24, in Bangkok, to give support.

Verano (10-0, 7KOs) recently beat Monthawee Srisongkhram of Thailand by a unanimous decision last June 29, 2023 at Spaceplus Bangkok.

It will be the second time for Verano to fight in Thailand.

Jatpukdee, on the other hand, is only 16 years old. But she already has four wins, one loss with two knockouts.

In her last fight, Jatpukdee won by a unanimous decision against Kirada Saksitsakul last September 24, 2023 at Singmanassak Muaythai School in Pathum Thani.

Verano arrived last October 23 together with reigning Asian Boxing Federation light flyweight champion John Michael “Stricker” Zulueta of Negros Occidental, who will defend his title for the 4th time against Oatkowit Kamlangcharoey of Thailand.

The boxing event is billed as the “Way of the Champions: Fight to Survive”.

The promoters are Supanat Chanram, Baris Erdogan of Tunal Academy and Brico Santig of Highland Boxing Team.
