Tarlac Open Chess tourney set for September 12

MANILA---The cream of the crop in Tarlac chess will once again test each other’s mettle through the James Henry Calacday (JHC) Chess Club Tarlac FIDE Rated Open Chess Tournament slated on September 12 at Robinson Luisita, Tarlac City.
Cash prizes will be given away to the winners of the said 1-day blitz (3 minutes plus 2 seconds increment) chess tournament spearheaded by Coach Henry Calacday as part of the grassroots chess development program which aims to discover future chess talents.
The champion will take home P1,000, while the second to fifth placers will pocket P500, P200, P100, and P100, respectively. -Marlon Bernardino-
