Popular Filipino warrior Johnriel “Quadro Alas” Casimero (33-4, 22 KO’s) of Ormoc, Leyte, has just been announced to headline a 10-round battle against tough Japanese super bantamweight Yukinori Oguni 小國以載 (21-2-2, 8 KO’s) on Thursday, October 12, at the famous Ariake Sport Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

The rumble is crucially important for both 122-pounders as the winner gets closer to a world title shot, possibly and hopefully against Japanese sensational superstar “Monster” Naoya Inoue (25-0, 22 KO’s).

Tons of fans would love to see the thrilling “KO Artist” Naoya Inoue in battle against the Filipino Casimero. But could that fight ever happen? Could Oguni spoil the plans?

That’s why Casemero vs Oguni is such a vital, make-or-break, must-win war.

The 35-year-old Oguni comes to meet Casimero after a 15-months absence from ring action since his technical draw against Japanese compatriot Keita Kurihara (17-7-1, 15 KO’s) in May of last year in Tokyo.

In contrast, “Quadro Alas” has been more active, scoring a TKO win over strange Ryo Akaho last December in Korea; and then claiming a victory by points over Namibia tough energy man Fillipus Nghitumbwa three months ago at the Okada Hotel in Manila.

On October 12, will Casimero be able to score the win, over the Nippon combatant, emerging victorious once again, either by points or stoppage?

Or will it be local warrior Yukinori Oguni the one to display superior boxing skills, heart of a lion and fighting capabilities against the smart and slick Leyteño 3-division world champion?

MORE FILIPINO VS JAPANESE FIGHTS IN THE SHOW

Warriors from the Land of Lapu Lapu will be battling strong, well-trained Japanese and Mexican-American foes, making October 12 at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena an entertaining evening of fights.

Yes indeed, seeing action in the same show will be Zamboangueño Vince “El Castigo” Paras (19-2-1, 15 KO’s) trading hard shots versus 26-year-old heavy-puncher Kai Ishiwaza (11-2, 10 KO’s). Eight chapters in the flyweight division.

In addition, the undefeated Gensan Crusher” RV Deniega (9-0, 6 KO’s) will face Mexican-American Saul “The Beast” Sanchez (19-2, 12 KO’s). It’s 8 rounds of leather in the 118-pound weight-class.

In a clash of veteran fighters for a regional WBC bantamweight strap, “The Polomolok Sniper” Froilán Saludar (33-7-1, 23 KO’s) will climb up for 30-year-old Keira Kurihara (17-7-1, 15 KO’s). Prepare for an intense twelve rounds war!

And what's more, former ALA star Jeo “Santino“ Santisima (22-6, 19 KO’s) of Masbate laces the 8 oz gloves for unbeaten southpaw Kenji Fujita (4-0, 3 KO’s). They’re supporting bout for 8 frames of boxing in the featherweight division.

The exciting show is promoted by Casimero’s current promoter former fighter Masayuki Ito, This will be Masayuki’s 4th pro boxing event.

Best of luck to all from Philboxing.con. May the Best Men Win!
