THE Philippine Air Force will join for the first time in the 2023 Davao City Athletics Open set on August 26 and 27 at the University of Mindanao track oval in Ma-a.

“The PAF team will be composed of former Davao athletes,” said Kenneth Sai, president of the Davao City Track and Field Association (DCTFA).

They are Sonny Wagdos, Anthony Nerza and Cellie Rose Jaro.

But they will only join in the 17 above, which is the open competition while the other category is 14 to 16 years old for boys and girls.

The other teams are Surallah Kangaroo, Spectrum Runners Mindanao Chapter, Spectrum Runners Visayas Chapter, A.O. Floiredo NHS Tamaraw, Brokenshire College of Toril, Bukid Sprinters, Calinan NHS Team, EMAR, Hagonoy DavSur Aces, High Land Runners, Panabo City, Pilipinas Para Athletics Team, Rizal Memorial College Team, Roop Team, Starland International School of Cagayan de Oro City, Tacurong City Athletics Team. Team BBG, UM Tagum, Sto. Tomas NHS Track and Field Team, Barobo Team, University of Southern Eastern Philippines, Maragusan and Samal Island Trackers.

“We used the electronic timing since this is sanctioned by the PATAFA,” said Sai.
