REYMART “Assassin” Gaballo of General Santos City will defend his WBO Oriental bantamweight title against Michael Bravo of Kidapawan City on June 17 at The Flash Grand Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City.

It will be the first title defense of Gaballo, who won against Ricardo Sueno via a 2nd round TKO last October 29, 2022 in General Santos City.

The 26-year-old Gaballo (25-1-0, 21KOs) of Sanman Promotions also won the WBC Asoan Continental bantamweight title during that fight against Sueno.

Bravo, on the other hand, made a successful comeback last February 21, 2023 by a 4th round TKO over Ermesto Camiguing in Kidapawan.

The 30-year-old Bravo (14-2-0, 7KOs) earlier lost by a retirement to Giemel Magramo in the 7th round for the vacant WBO Oriental flyweight title last March 2018.

After losing that fight, Bravo decided to quit boxing for four years.

Meanwhile, former WBO Asia Pacific welterweight champion Joe “Jaw Breaker” Noynay of Cebu fights veteran Larry Siwu of Indonesia for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific welterweight title in the other main event.

The 27-year-old Noynay has 20 wins with eight knockouts against three loses and two draws while Siwu has 31 wins with 27 knockouts against 13 loses.

This boxing event is dubbed as the “Night of Champions XXIX”.

It is promoted by Gabriel “Bebot” Elorde Jr. with Patrick Pante as the matchmaker.
