Cuarto, Shigeoka both weigh 104 lbs for IBF Interim world minimumweight title fight

FORMER world champion Rene Mark “Mighty Mouse” Cuarto and Japanese Ginjiro Shigeoka both weighed at 104 pounds for their final weigh-in today, April 15.

They will fight for the IBF Interim world minimumweight title tomorrow, April 16 at the Yoyogi #2 Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.

The 26-year-old Cuarto of Jose Dalman, Zamboanga del Norte later ate “bulalo” to regain his strength.

“Many Filipinos also helped us here,” said Cuarto’s manager Vanessa Neri.

Also present were chief trainer-manager Raides “Nonoy” Neri, wife and trainer Vincent Dayaganon.

Cuarto is toting with 21 wins, 3 loses and 2 draws while undefeated Shigeoka has 8 wins with 6 knockouts.
