Crowley, Azevedo win Ironman 70.3 Davao

SARAH Crowley of Australia and Filipe Azevedo of Portugal ruled the women and men’s category in the Alveo IRONMAN 70.3 Davao today, March 26 in Davao City.
Crowley took the lead in the later stages of the bike and never looked back to win by 4 hours, 20 minutes and 15 seconds.
American Lauren Brandon, who was out of the water first, was second at 4:22:50 while third was Lottie Lucas of UAE) at 4:25:10. They were followed by Julie Lemmolo of France – (4:37:26) and Ai Ueda of Japan.
Azevedo, on the other hand, won the men’s race after he took the lead in the bike at 3:51:10.
Ognjen Stojanovic (SRB) who earlier was the big mover on the run with a best-of-the-day 1:18:03, was second at 3:52:29.
Third was Taiwan’s Tuan Chun Chang (3:57:13) followed by American Robbie Deckard (4:09:02) and Zsombor Deak (4:14:28).
Olivier Godart (3:34:26) and Sophie Kirk (4:11:16) were the men and women’s over-all winners in age-group categories.
