
More than 1,000 swimmers in Langoy Pilipinas

MORE than 1,000 swimmers have registered in the 1st Rogelio D. Pacquiao Cup national age-group swimming competition set on February 25 and 26 at the Sarangani Sports Training Center Swimming Pool in Alabel, Sarangani Province.
This was revealed by Dong Gonzales, Mindanao Coordinator for Langoy Pilipinas.
The entries are coming from General Santos City, Davao City, Iligan City and Sarangani.
“This will showcase the province’s sports tourism sports program,” said Gonzales.
Gonzales added that it will strengthen the grass root development in swimming.
The Langoy Pilipinas is a national swimming competition for kids ages six to 17 years old.
It is open to all swimmers, swimming teams, schools and clubs. They will see action in the 50 meter, 100 meter and 200 meter in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly, 400m individual medley and 200m medley relay.
The event was conceptualized by swimming coach and national event organizer Darren Evangelista,
