THE Langoy Pilipinas has set the deadline of the registration for the 1st Rogelio D. Pacquiao Cup national age-group swimming competition on February 18 at the Sarangani Sports Training Center Swimming Pool in Alabel, Sarangani Province.
Mindanao Coordinator for Langoy Pilipinas Dong Gonzales has recently visited Gov. Pacquiao for the coming national sports competition set on February 25 and 26.
“The event targets not only the participation of school-based teams and established swimming clubs but also the less-fortunate children and out-of-school youth,” said Gonzales.
The event was conceptualized by swimming coach and national event organizer Darren Evangelista. It is a national swimming competition for kids ages six to 17 years old.
It is open to all swimmers, swim teams, schools and clubs. They will see action in the 50 meter, 100 meter and 200 meter freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly, 400m individual medley and 200m medley relay.
Registration fee is P1,800 with a free swimming cap. Yingfa Pilipinas is the official swimwear while it is sponsored by Unilab and RiteMed.
