KHURVIN Jhon “KJ” Natuplag lost his crown in his first title defense as the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental champion to Liu Wensong of China last February 4 at the VIC Sports Complex in Dubai.

Natuplag, who is now based in Dubai, was surprised by a left cross on his chin followed by a right and left powerful unanswered punches by Wensong.

The referee stopped the fight. But Natuplag wants a rematch because he was only surprised by the Chinese.

After a recovering from his knockout, Natuplag took his ring and made a proposal to his girlfriend Jade Kelly Custodio, a Filipino nurse working in Dubai.

Custodio, who climbed the ring to assist Natuplag during the knockout, was also surprised.

But she immediately answered yes. They are now planning to first go home to the Philippines in July.

Natuplag suffered his fourth loss against 11 wins and two draws with 10 knockouts.

Natuplag earlier stopped Boonrueang Phayom of Thailand in the 2nd round to win the vacant WBO Oriental title last November 12, 2022 in Dubai.

He also won the WBC Asian Boxing Council featherweight by knocking Attanon Kunlawong of Thailand in the 2nd round last June 24, 2022 in Dubai.
