WORLD Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental champion Khurvin Jhon “KJ” Natuplag is ready to fight against Liu Wensong of China on February 4 at the VIC Sports Complex in Dubai.

“I’m now only 57.1 kilos,” said the 26-year-old Natuplag, who is nicknamed “The Ipugo”.

Natuplag (11-3-2, 10KOs) is being handled by trainers Ryan Willis, Jun Padriquez and Noda Jury.

His sparring mates are Ege Arin Konuk, Efe Derin Kunok and WBO Oriental welterweight champion Joepher “El Gwapito” Montaño.

“We don't just have to rush because my opponent is also a fighter, I need to have a strategy for this fight,” said Natuplag.

Natuplag, who is now based in Dubai, had two successful fights last year.

He knocked out Attanon Kunlawong of Thailand in the 2nd round last June 24 to win the WBC Asian Boxing Council featherweight title at VIC MMA Gym.

Natuplag then stopped Boonrueang Phayom of Thailand also in the 2nd round to take the WBO Oriental featherweight title last November 12 at Dubai.

The boxing event is promoted by Alessio Bisutti with Brico Santig as the matchmaker.
