
Vayson fights Akui in Japan

WORLD Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Boxing Council Continental light flyweight champion Jayson “Striker” Vayson of Bayugan, Agusan del Sur will fight Seigo Yuri Akui of Japan on February 4 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
The 24-year-old Vayson recently won the title by beating Nutlai Lalbiakkima of India by a split decision last June 18, 2022 at the World Trade Centre in Dubai.
Vayson. who is now 110 pounds, has been sparring with Genisis “Cobra” Libranza of Davao.
Vayson and coach Alan Alegria will leave tomorrow, February 2 for Tokyo.
Akui, on the other hand, has recently retained his Japan Boxing Commission flyweight title by beating Takuya Kogava last February 27, 2022 in Suntopin, Soin.
The 27-year-old Akui has 17 wins, two loses, one draw with 11 knockouts.
