REYMOND “Robocop” Yanong of Escalante City, Negros Occidental gets another chance to fight undefeated LeQuan Wang of China for WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental super lightweight title at the Spaceplus Bangkok RCA in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 29-year-old Yanong had three fights in 2020 all in the United States before the pandemic for two years.

In his only one fight last year, Yanong lost by an unidentified decision to Xolisani “Nomeva The Wasp” Ndongeni of South Africa last July 28 at The Gallery in Sandton, Johnnesurg.

Yanong, who has 11 wins, seven loses, one draw with nine knockouts, had his training in Benguet with coach Jayvee Jacinto.

“I think in this fight, I can win it,” said Yanong.

Yanong does not have a manager but he is being helped by promoter-matchmaker Brico Santig of Highland, which is co-promoting with Maxpower and Spaceplus boxing promotions.

Yanong and Jacinto arrived in Thailand just in time for the presscon last January 23, who also arrived with new Games and Amusement Board Chairman Atty. Richard Clarin.

Clarin said that GAB will also help the safety and protect the integrity of the boxers.
