NEWLY crowned World Boxing Organization world minimumweight champion Melvin “Gringo” Jerusalem will get a hero’s welcome in Bukidnon.

Jerusalem, who just arrived in Cebu with trainer Michael Domingo, was from Manolo Fortich of Bukidnon.

The 28-year-old Jerusalem won the WBO world minimumweight title by a 2nd round technical knockout over Masataka Taniguchi of Japan last January 6 at EDION Arena in Osaka.

“I don't know what happened. As long as I rely on everything before training with coach Michael Domingo and more importantly, I rely on the Lord. everything in the game,” said Jerusalem.
