ELEVEN-YEAR old Guio Pasquil won the 9-12 years old division in the 1st Rasheed Christmas Jungolf tournament held last December 11 at the Apo Golf and Country Club in Bago Oshiro.

Pasquil made a birdie in par 5 hole no. 13 to score a 91.
CJ Wacan (98) and John Carl Fiel (100) were the first and second runners-up, respectively.

It was the second tournament of Pasquil, who had his first last June also at AGCC.

“Nanalo din siya sa tournament,” said Pasquil’s father Fraz Nino.
Pasquil is also an honor student of Grade 6 at the Ateneo de Davao University.

Guio started playing at the young age of seven but seriously just a year ago.

Fraz Nino and his father Larry, a lawyer, are also golfers.
“Sana nga ganahan para mapa compete ko sa Manila,” said Pasquil.
Pasquil hopes to get a golf scholarship for Guio in the United States.

The tournament was organized by Soleil Café Driving Range.
