UNDEFEATED Charly “King’s Warrior” Suarez of San Isidro, Davao del Norte is now in Vietnam to fight for the vacant IBF Asia super featherweight title against Defry “The Unseen Hammer” Palulu of Indonesia at The Grand He Tram Strip in Vung Yau.

Suarez recently won over veteran Carlo “The Ferocious” Magali of Bohol via a unanimous decision to take the Philippine super featherweight and retain the WBA Asia super featherweight title last October 23 in Paranaque City.

The 34-year-old Suarez will be making his 5th fight this year.

In his first fight, Suarez stopped Tom Mangubat of Bukidnon in the 12th round to win the vacant WBA Asia super featherweight title last February 12 at Elorde Sports Complex.

Suarez also beat Mark John “The Journey Man” Yap of Cagayan de Oro City by unanimous decision to retain the title last August 7 at Elorde.

Yap, on the other hand, will battle Phan Minh “The Riddler” Quan of Vietnam also in the undercard.

The 33-year-old Yap is already with VSP Elorde Manila Gym.

Meanwhile, lightweight Arnel “The Silencer” Bacohaje (15-5-0, 11KOs) of Iloilo will challenge IBF Asia lightweight champion Hong Quan Dinh (9-1-1, 4KOs) of Vietnam in the main supporting bout.

The promoter is Sang Bum Kim of Cocky Buffalo Promotion.
