UNDEFEATED John Michael “Striker” Zulueta retained his title last night after the fight ended in a draw at “The Challenger” boxing show at the Spaceplus Bangkok RCA in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 27-year-old Zulueta, who is now based in Bangkok, settled to a draw with Suriya Kraimanee of Thailand.

It was a very close fight as both fighters hit punches against each other.

“The fight was close and I had a hard time with the opponent because of the height at 5'6 while I’m only 5'2½,” said Zulueta.

Zulueta also had a hard time because of the catchweight agreed for the fight which is 50 kilograms.

“If only we had 48.9 kilograms,” said Zulueta.

It was the second time for Zulueta to defend his crown.

“It's a good fight and I accept the judges' decision,” said Zulueta, who now has four fights already in Thailand.

Zulueta currently has a clean record of 14 wins with no loss, three draws with seven knockouts.

The 18-year-old Kraimanee has four wins, two loses and one draw.

The boxing event was presented by Highland Spaceplus Boxing Promotions.
