GENERAL Santos City -- Boxing legend Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao of General Santos City will formally open the revival of the Blow-by-Blow boxing program on November 20 at 3 p.m. at the Mandaluyong City College Gym.

“We're bringing back Blow-by-Blow to find new boxers,” said Pacquiao

The legendary television boxing show Blow-by-Blow propelled Pacquiao into stardom.

The search for the next Pacquiao will start at the same site where the eight-division champion earned a name for himself.

Pacquiao led the press conference last November 6 together with Mandaluyong Mayor Benjamin Santos Abalos Sr., Von Reinhart of One Sports and OIC Atty. Ermar Benitez of the Games and Amusements Board at Grand Summit Hotel General Santos.

Renowned sports analyst Quinito Henson, who was emcee, will host the show.

Blow-by-Blow made its debut in 1994 and ended in 1999. It was revived as Blow By Blow Reloaded in 2015 but only lasted in 2016.

“And now it will return bigger, better & bolder!!,” said Henson.

The event will be recorded and edited into episodes which will be broadcast through One Sports channel every Sunday.

Also present was two-time world champion Gerry “Fearless” Peñalosa, who was tapped by Pacquiao to call the shots in assembling the best boxers available.

Pacquiao would like to discover new talent, somebody who will make it big on the world stage just like him.
