KEITH John Ardenio of Blackhawk Gym will just enjoy his first experience in the ring on October 29 in the Davao Ultimate Knockout Challenge (DUKC) 2 billed as “The Battle” at the Elorde Gym at Tulip Drive in Matina.

“I'll just enjoy it and then experience it,” said the 5-foot-9 Ardenio, who will fight against Gianne Carlos Pascual of Elorde Gym.

Ardenio said that Pascual “has a big advantage”.

“But I can handle it,” said Ardenio.

Ardenio was supposed to have a fight during the first DUKC but his opponent Edwin Alterado was not available at the last minute.

“I have no experience yet in the amateur, first time only. I'm just training,” said Ardenio, who is being mentored by coach Richard Garde.

Ardenio is right now comfortable with 64 kilograms but he is still 69 kilograms yet.

“I was just sparring when my coach told me that I should fight in the main event,” said Ardenio, who started to train again last July after the pandemic.

Ardenio will next fight on November 12 at the People’s Park.
