FORMER title-contender Reymart “Assassin” Gaballo of Polomolok will be back to fight for a double title-fight against Ricardo “Smiley” Sueno of Sagay City on October 29 at the Lagao Gym in General Santos City.
They will fight for the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental and World Boxing Council (WBC) Asia Continental bantamweight titles.
In his last bout, Gaballo suffered his first loss to compatriot Nonito Donaire by a knockout in the 4th round for the WBC World bantamweight title last December 11, 2021 in Carson.
The 26-year-old Gaballo tasted his first loss against 24 wins with 20 knockouts.
“But I’m now back and willing to rumble,” said Gaballo.
Sueno, on the other hand, recently knocked out Ernie Mino Jr. in the 3rd round last August 7, 2022 in Paranaque City.
The 28-year-old Sueno now has 11 wins, 6 loses, 4 draws with 4 knockouts.
There will be 11 more fights added in the card including Gaballo’s little brother Nelbert, who will be fighting Yohen Limentello in a 4-rounder bout.
“The fights will be shown free to the public,” said JC Manangquil, president of Sanman Boxing Promotion.
It is co-promoted by M & B Boxing Promotion and Knuckleheads Pro Boxing Fraternity.
