SOUTHPAW Arvin “Hurricane” Magramo of Paranaque City scored a 3rd round knockout over Jonathan “Hard Worker” Refugio of Malaybalay to retain his World Boxing Organization Oriental light flyweight title last October 16 at the Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City.

Magramo hit a powerful right punch on Refugio's jaw followed by another right to stop the fight.

It was the first title defense by Magramo since he won the vacant belt by stopping Jerry Francisco in the 2nd round last October 23, 2021 at Paranaque.

The 25-year-old Magramo improved his record to 15 wins with 10 knockouts against one defeat and one draw while Refugio suffered his nine losses against 22 wins and five draws.

Meanwhile, Albert “Sting” Francisco of Paranaque remained undefeated after he threw a hard punch to knock out Philip Luis Cuerdo of Mandaluyong in the first round.

The 22-year-old Francisco now has seven win with five knockouts.
