SOUTHPAW Michael “Hot 'N Spicy” Dasmarinas of Pili, Camarines Sur will collide with Ryan Rey “Mr. Pogi” Ponteras of Panabo City for the vacant Philippine super bantamweight title on October 15 in Tacloban City.

The 30-year-old Dasmarinas seeks his second win this year after losing to undefeated Naoya Inoue of Japan for IBF World and WBA super world bantamweight titles by a 3rd round knockout.

After losing to Inoue, Dasmarinas (31-3-2, 21KOs) then settled a technical draw with Ernesto Saulong last December 4, 2021 at Paranaque City.

Saulong suffered a cut on his left eyelid due to an accidental head butt.

Dasmarinas recently stopped Danny Tampipi of Pagadian City in the 3rd round last March 12, 2022 in Paranaque City.

Dasmarinas has 31 wins, three loses, two draws and 21 knockouts while Ponteras has 23 wins, 16 loses, three draws with 12 knockouts.

Ponteras lost to Yuttapong Tongdee by a unanimous decision for the WBA Asia bantamweight title last August 6 in Bangkok.
