DMMA is ready to play in ALDU Cup

THE Davao Merchant Marine Academy (DMMA) College of Southern Philippine is ready to play in the Inter-Collegiate Division of the ALDU Cup in the Davao del Norte Basketball League (DDNBL).

This was revealed by head coach Bambie Santander.

Although 19-year-old Aeron Steve Catipay is the only one player remaining from the old roster while the rest are new players.

They are John Kelvin Amora, Peter Paul Flores, Roi Nolasco, Errol Jan Vital Albor, Jacob Villadelgado, Christian Serag April, Lemuel Jumamoy; Julius Caezar Requillo, Godofredo Galendez, Jahpet Galupo, Mon Pedrajas, Joel Padillo, Opon Andrei Naush and Suaeb Jhamill Dimasingkil.

“But the team is ready. We have been practicing at the school gym,” said head coach Bambie Santander.

Santander has been waiting for the approval of the school administration before it will join the ALDU Cup.

“Thank you because we were given a chance and invited to our team,” said Santander.

DMMA is in Bracketed B of the ALDU Cup together with Saint John Paul II, MATS Navigators, Davao Merchant Marine Academy, Brokenshire College and University of Mindanao Tagum.

Bracket A are Jose Maria College, Philippine Women’s College, Davao del Norte State College, UM Davao and UM Samal.

DDNBL Commissioner and SanMan Sports Foundation Chairman Arman Sañano said the games will be played in Tagum, Panabo, Samal and Davao City.
