Headliners:

Two of the league’s top big men are in Minnesota. The twin towers forged by Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns pose intriguing prospects both for the opposing team and the team itself. Towns will most definitely start at the four, while Gobert takes on the center role for his new team.

It will be hard for the opposing teams to score in the shaded area, as both Gobert and Towns are excellent rim protectors. Kyle Anderson was one sneaky acquisition by the Wolves as well. Anderson is an excellent defender, who can handle and pass the ball pretty well for a big man.

The backcourt combo of D’Angelo Russel and Anthony Edwards should get a lot of fast breaks with two excellent defensive rebounders and secondary defenders in tow. Towns should remain the focal point of their set offense, as he is both a very good low post player and an excellent perimeter scorer as well. People often forget that he is the reigning three-point shootout king… a mark of his marksmanship.

Anthony Edwards has shown that he is the real deal. He will continue to improve this upcoming season, with another year under his belt. What’s expected of him is more maturity and better shot selection, which should result to a much-improved efficiency.

On paper, this is a very good team. Barring any major injuries and/or chemistry issues, they should be among the top contenders in the West.
