Vitor wins WBO Oriental super featherweight title

VIRGEL “Valiente” Vitor of Tagbilaran City knocked out Arnon Yupang of Thailand in the 3rd round to win the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental super featherweight title last September 9 in Dimiao, Bohol.

The 25-year-old Vitor landed a solid left to the head to drop Yupang in the 3rd round.

Vitor now has 19 wins with 12 knockouts against two losses while Yupang suffered his 3rd loss against nine wins.

“I did my best, that's why I got the belt,” said Vitor.

Meanwhile, Regie Suganob remained undefeated by beating Andika D’Golden Boy of Indonesia by a unanimous decision in the main supporting bout.

Suganod, 25, piled up his 12th win while D’Golden Boy suffered his first loss after 19 wins and one draw.

Jake Amparo beat Ariston Aton by a unanimous decision;
Jhunrille Castino[E1] scored a majority decision over Alan Alberca;
Shane Gentallan settled a technical decision on Jovani Casin;
Christian Balunan retired Ronald Ewican in the 3rd round;
Poblete Balidio scored a majority decision over Justine Digamo;
Jason Tinampay knockout Dave Barlas in the 4th round;
Kim Lindog won by UD over Mark Glen Antaran;
Daniel Nicolas TKO Jerry Pabila;
ErwinAsilo outboxed Ernesto Camiguing;
Arnel Tinampay outslugged Jhun Ryan Quimbo;
Cherwellan Cantel stopped Carlos Agustin in the 1st round.
