Magali (C).
CURRENT Philippine super featherweight champion Carlo “The Ferocious” Magali will fight reigning WBO Asia super featherweight king Charly “King's Warrior” Suarez for a unification title on October 23 at The Flash Grand Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City.

“This fight is gonna be a nice one because Suarez is also a good fighter,” said the 35-year-old Magali (25-13-3, 13KOs).

“But I have trained hard for this,” said Magali of Talibon, Bohol.

Magali, who is also the Asian Boxing Federation super featherweight champion, last beat Al Toyogon by a split decision for the vacant ABF and Philippine super featherweight titles last December 21, 2019 at the Manila Arena in Manila.

He was supposed to fight against Ayanda Nkosi of South Africa last August 21 in South Africa. But the fight was cancelled.

Magali, who was already at the airport, went back to the training camp in Benguet at the Highland Boxing gym.

Magali has been training for almost four months now.

Suarez, on the other hand, is still undefeated with 12 wins and seven knockouts.

The 34-year-old Suarez of San Isidro, Davao del Norte won by a unanimous decision against Mark John Yap of Cagayan de Oro City to retain the WBA Asia super featherweight title last August 7 at the Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City.
