Both Rodel Mayol and Bert Batawang take to the scales today along with their respective Thai opponents in advance of their bouts tomorrow co-headlining the "Back on Track" card at the New Cebu Coliseum.
Promoter Sammy Gello-ani, at the final press conference yesterday held at the Fortuna Hotel, said that today's weigh-in starts at 12 noon also at the New Cebu Coliseum.
"We are expecting hard fights to take place tomorrow. Both Thai visitors have indicated they are not going to make things easy for our two local fighters," Gello-ani stressed.
Viva Sports will telecast the fights on Sunday on "Main Event" starting 9PM.
Batawang vies for the WBO Oriental light flyweight title against Samransak Singmanasak, while Mayol, who is now managed by superstar Manny Pacquiao and Rex 'Wakee" Salud, takes on Wisan Sor Suchanya.
Pacquiao had recently bought out Mayol's managerial contract with Japanese Yasuo Matsuoka, and all indications point to a possible world title crack for Mayol in the near future to be promoted by the boxing icon himself.
Pacquiao, along with WBO bantam champ Gerry Penalosa and IBF kingpin Florante Condes, are expected to attend tomorrow's event.
The rest of the match-ups pits Federico Catubay against Brix Bomb Ray; Eric Macas versus Pedro Malco; Roemart Sentillas versus Ed Earl Orellano.
Ryan Tampus battles Jerome Aguirre; Cham Sedillo tackles Rosendo Navares; while Ariel Adan goes up against Arnel Dunal.
First bout starts at 7PM.
