Paradero (R) and Paras during their first meeting.

ORTHODOX Robert “Inggo” Paradero of Malaybalay City will have a rematch with Vince “J-Vince” Paras of General Santos City on October 5 in Manila.

But this time they will be fighting for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Asia Pacific flyweight title.

They settled to a split draw during their first encounter last April 26, 2022 at the Sanman Gym in General Santos City.

“I have a fight in the WBA Asia Pacific championship because I have already signed a contract,” said Paradero.

The rematch will still be promoted by Sanman.

The 26-year-old Paradero is currently sparring with Jeny Boy Boca (14-8-0, 12KOs) and with the amateur boxers in Malaybalay.

“I'm doing my best so I can give a good play”, said Paradero.

His trainer is coach Jojo Singsing while his manager is Dr. Toto Sajulga.

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old Paras retired Jovanie Tagusi of Sarangani in the 1st round last August 24 at Sanman Gym in Gensan.

He now has 17 wins, 2 loses, 1 draw with 15 knockouts.
