Lerasan wins another title in Thailand

FILIPINO challenger Adrian “Wild Beast” Lerasan earned another new title - World Boxing Association (WBA) Asia super flyweight champion after he scored a 9th round technical knockout over Nattapong Janseak of Thailand last August 19 in Bangkok.

The 23-year-old Lerasan landed a left punch in the early round nine for the first knockdown. In the second knockdown, Lerasan hit the Thai boxer with his right straight.

The fight resumed and Lerasan immediately threw punches but the referee Pinit Prayadsab stopped it.

Lerasan of Antipolo City now has 12 wins, four loses with five knockouts while Janseak suffered his first setback after 10 wins with six knockouts.

It was the 4th championship belt won by Lerasan in Thailand.

Lerasan won the vacant WBA Asia super flyweight by stopping Tanes Ongiunta in the 8th round last March 1, 2020 at the Suamlum Night Bazaar in Ratchadaphisek, Bangkok.

In the second title, Lerasan knocked out Suradech Ruhasiri in the 5th round to win the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental super flyweight last October 2, 2021 at the I-Mobile Football Stadium in Buriram.

Lerasan scored a 7th round TKO to Phongsaphon Panyakum and dethroned him with the WBC Asian Boxing Council super flyweight title last February 26, 2022 at the Suamlum Night Bazaar in Ratchadaphisek, Bangkok.
