Laurente (L) and Penalosa.
UNDEFEATED Criztian Pitt “Golden Boy” Laurente of General Santos City beat again Richard Bulacan of Davao via a unanimous decision to win the vacant Philippines Games & Amusements Board (GAB) Youth Super Featherweight title last June 18 at Mobo in Masbate.

The 22-year-old Laurente also defeated Bulacan in amateur boxing.

The 23-year-old Bulacan was more than eight pounds over the limit of 130 pounds and so the title was only at stake for Laurente.

Super flyweight Price Andrew Laurio of Masbate scored a 3rd round technical knockout over Rollu Dorong of Cebu in the main supporting bout.

Meanwhile, light flyweight Marlon Alejandro of Mandaue beat Boy Dignos Jr. of Cavite by a unanimous decision.

The boxing event was sponsored by Mayor Raymund “Doni” Salvacion, Governor Antonio “Tony” Kho and Bingo Plus.

It was powered by promoter Gerry “Fearless” Penalosa of Gerrypens Boxing Promotion, Kumbat Sports Kalayaan, Makati Viajero and MaruNeo.
