A FUNDRAISING bike event dubbed as the “Sikad Para sa Lumad” will be held on June 26 in Davao City.

“It is like exploring the Davao bike lanes for the second time,” said architect Danilo Guevarra, one of the organizers.

It will assemble and briefing at 3 p.m. at the Keepsakes of Matina Town Square. The biking will start at 4 p.m. and will end at 6 p.m.

Registration is P300 with free light meal and blinker.

“It is a fundraising bike event for the construction of a community toilet at Sitio Marahan in Marilog District,” said Guevarra.

It is also to promote active mobility using the bike lanes of the city. Participants are required to bring their own helmet, water container and headlight.

“This is open to all types of bikes,” said Guevarra

It will start at MTS and go to Bikebox, SM Ecoland Bike Parking, Ramon Magsaysay Park, Agdao flyover, turn left at Bajada, left turn at Abreeza, road crossing, Mabini and end up at People’s Park.

This is organized by the Arkiquest Davao Inc. Registration is at PIA/UAP Alpha Secretariat Office at Jacinto Extension or at DN Guevarra Architects at Toril.
