Jordan fails to win but Gomez prevails

KEN “KJ” Jordan of General Santos City failed to win over Word Boxing Council Asian Boxing Council Super bantamweight champion Thattana “Chainoi Worawut” Luangphon of Thailand in their title-fight last night, May28 in Rachadapichek.

Jordan, reigning Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) super bantamweight champion, lost by a unanimous decision to Luangphon in the main event.

“I lost by unanimous decision. We reached 10 rounds. Let's make up for it in the next fight, it's not too late,” said Jordan
who suffered his second loss against nine wins and two draws, was the 6th challenger of Luangphon.

Luangphon, on the other hand, has 17 wins against no loss with one draw and 13 knockouts.

Meanwhile, undefeated Herlan Gomez of Bacolod City defeated unbeaten Parin Luangphon, kid brother of Thattana, by unanimous decision in the 6-round undercard.

The super flyweight Gomez knocked down Parin in the 2nd round.
Gomez, who is managed by former Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Chairman Juan Ramon "Monjo" Guanzon, has now four straight wins with two knockouts.
