FORMER amateur boxer Jhoniel “El Maldito” Aquino of Kidapawan City will face professional boxer Jelo “Terminator” Bacalso of Digos City in the undercard of the Resbak 2 on May 28 in Davao City.

Aquino of the Cenojas MMA won his one and only fight as an amateur mixed martial artist against Joshua Digamon at the Iflex Gym.

“I'm excited about the fight because this is my first pro fight and I've been able to play for a long time because of the pandemic,” said 24-year-old Aquino.

Aquino, who started boxing only at 14 years old, quit at 18 because he got married.

He worked at Sikaran Gym in Kidapawan to teach boxing and MuayThai.

“I'll give him a nice game,” said Aquino referring to his opponent Bacalso, a light flyweight.

The 27-year-old Bacalso of the Fitness Boss has a pro record as a boxer with one win, one loss and one draw.
