UNDEFEATED Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) light flyweight champion John Michael “Striker” Zulueta of Calatrava, Negros Occidental stopped Indonesian Jack Amisa in the 5th round last night, May 14 at the RCA Plaza, 3rd floor in Spaceplus, Thailand.

A towel was thrown by Amisa's corner in the 5th round signaling the surrender. Amisa was also knocked down by Zulueta in the dying minutes of the 3rd round.

The 26-year-old Zulueta kept hitting Amisa with body punches from the start of the fight.

“I put pressure on him and I’ve rained a lot of combinations,” said Zulueta.

Zulueta remained undefeated with 12 wins, two draws and five knockouts while the veteran Amisa suffered his 50th loss against 21 wins, three draws with 14 knockouts.

Zulueta, which is managed by former Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Chairman Juan Ramon Monjo Guanzon, was accompanied by trainer Nelson Arellano.

Zulueta earlier retired Mark Anthony Florida of Bukidnonn in the 4th round to win both the vacant ABF light flyweight title and vacant International Boxing Federation Asia light flyweight title last September 7, 2019 at the Taguig City.

The “No Mercy” boxing event is promoted by Brico Santig of Highland Boxing and Spaceplus Boxing Promotions.
