Demecillo stops Gandionco in 2nd round

KENNY “Big Heart” Demecillo of Iligan hit a solid left body shot to knock down Macrea “The Bard Wire” Gandionco of Misamis Oriental in the second round tonight, April 26 at the Sanman Gym in General Santos City.

It was Demecillo’s second fight for Sanman Boxing Promotion and ZIP.

“I'm glad I won,” said the 29-year-old Demecillo.

Demecillo now has 16 wins with 10 knockouts against five loses and two draws while the 30-year-old Gandionco suffered his 12th loss against 13 wins and three draws.

It was one of the supporting bouts between Vince Paras and Robert Paradero in the Sanman Bubble IX.

The other bouts: Jayson Mama defeated Ramel Antaran by a unanimous decision; Ian Sampan stopped Rey Ramos in the 3rd round; Justine Darap downed Nicardo Calamba in the 1st round; Alex Santisima Jr. retired Carlito Antaran in 1st round; Jerson Arigola scored a majority decision over Gabriel Tapales.
