Paras (L) and Paradero during Monday's weighin.

VINCE “J-Vince” Paras of General Santos City and Robert “Inggo” Paradero of Bukidnon tipped the scales today for their non-title fight tomorrow, April 26 at the Sanman Gym in General Santos City.

The 23-year-old Paras scaled at 110 pounds while Paradero tipped at 109.

“I'll just try and give him a good game so that I can get back the name,” said the 25-year-old Paradero.

Paradero, a former World Boxing Organization Asia Pacific Youth minimumweight champion, last fought and suffered a 5th round technical knockout to Thammanoon Niyomtrong as the Thai retained the WBA super world minimum title last December 14, 2021 in Phuket, Thailand.

Paras, former WBO Asia Pacific Youth light flyweight champion and world title contender, retired Reymark Taday of Cotabato in the 3rd round on February 5, 2022 at the Sanman Gym in Gensan. Taday suffered a cut on his hairline from an accidental headbutt in Round 3.

The other matches: RV Deniega vs. Edward Heno; Jhack Teora vs. Richard Betos; Kenny Demacillo vs. Macrea Gandionco; Jayson Mama vs. Ramel Antaran; Justine Daran vs. Nicardo Calamba.

The boxing event is billed as the “Sanman Bubble IX” and promoted by Sanman Boxing.
