Tepora will fight Betos in Gensan

COMEBACKING Jhack “El Kapitan” Tepora of Cebu will fight against veteran Richard “Tibay” Betos of Barobo, Surigao del Sur on April 26 at the Sanman Gym in General Santos City.

They will fight for eight rounds at 135 pounds.

Betos scored a technical knockout in the 2nd round against Jhesriel Agrabio Vijano last August 11, 2019 in Cantilan. But he suffered two setbacks in his last two fights. Betos lost by a technical knockout against Adan Diu Abdulhamid in the 2nd round last December 14, 2019 at the Robinson’s Place in Gensan.

In his last bout, Betos (21-26-2, 8KOs) dropped a 4th round TKO against Harmonito dela Torre last February 29, 2020 at Lagao Gym in Gensan.

Tepora, on the other hand, will be making his first bout under Sanman Boxing Promotion in Gensan.

The 26-year-old Tepora (23-1-0, 17KOs) had not climbed the ring since he suffered a knockout loss to Oscar Escandon of Colombia in the 1st round last December 21, 2019 at the Toyota Arena in Ontario.

Pitted in the main event are Vince “J-Vince” Paras of General Santos City against Robert “Inggo” Paradero of Bukidnon in their 10-round non-title fight.

The boxing event is billed as the “Sanman Bubble IX” and promoted by Sanman Boxing.
