UNDEFEATED Richard Bulacan of Davao City will fight unbeaten Criztian Pitt “Golden Boy” Laurente of General Santos City for the Philippine GAB Youth super featherweight championship on May 28 in Binan, Laguna.

The 23-year-old Bulacan has eight straight wins with six knockouts. He is now under the management of Rowena Pascual of Mandaluyong City. His new trainer is Melo Miranda of the Knockout Boxing Gym.

Bulacan's last victim was Anthony “Zorro” Sabalde of Cebu, who he retired in the 5th round last November 23, 2019 in Tagum City.

He also scored a technical knockout in the 5th round against Vergel “The Hammer” Deguma of Gensan last September 7, 2019 at the Rizal Park in Digos City.

Bulacan started his pro career with trainer and former boxer Renato Moreno under the MP Pacquiao Gym in Digos.

“The Digos boxing gym was closed already,” said Bulacan.

Bulacan kicked off with four wins in 2017, three of them by TKOs – Frejun dela Cruz (1st round), Carlito Antaran (2nd round) and Michael Javier (5th round).

He then scored a unanimous decision over Rimon Rama, who was down once in the 7th round last October 27 in Mandaue City.

Bulacan had two bouts in 2018 – Vergel Deguma (UD) and Rogen Flores (TKOs 1st round). He again fought Deguma, who was TKOd in the 5th round in Digos.

Bulacan, who is presently 135 pounds, just five pounds over the limit, has already seen Laurente fight.

“I have nothing to say yet on Laurente,” said Bulacan.

Laurente (9-0, 6KOs), on the other hand, recently scored a 2nd round knockout over Vicente Casido of Dumaguete last February 26 at Sanman Gym in Gensan.

The boxing promotion is sponsored by PAGCOR and Bingo Plus.
