Guro is 46.2 kilos, Castle 46.5 for WBC World Silver atomweight title

SOUTHPAW Norj Guro of Iligan City weighed-in at 46.2 kilos while Denise Castle of the United Kingdom submitted at 46.5 kilos at today’s weigh-in in Dubai.

Guro and Castle are vying for the World Boxing Council (WBC) World Silver atomweight title fight tomorrow, March 26 at the Habtoor Grand Resort in Al Falea, Dubai.

“After the weigh-in, Norj ate egg, banana and chocolate,” said Guro’s trainer Brix Flores.

“She will later eat rice and beef with soup,” he added.

Flores said that Castle is a little bit taller than Guro. Castle stands at 5-foot-3 1/3 while Guro is only 5’1.

Guro, who arrived last March 22 has completed her five weeks training with Flores.

Guro has a ring record of 11 wins with four knockouts, seven loses and one draw while Castle has three wins, two loses and three knockouts.

The boxing event is dubbed as “Summer Boxing Night: The Rising Sun Dubai”. It is promoted by Brico Santig of Highland Boxing and Vic MMA.
