
Verdadero debuts as PMMA, plays Tancontian

FLYWEIGHT Jay “El Calibre” Verdadero of Tagum will debut as professional mixed martial arts in the “Resbak” series on March 31 at the Arf Gym in New Pandan, Panabo City.
Verdadero will fight Nards "Poison" Tanconcian of R2K MMA from the Island City of Samal.
The 26-year-old Verdadero had a record of nine wins and five loses as an amateur.
“I'm a little excited because I haven't played in a long time,” said Verdadero, who last played in 2019 in Muntinlupa.
He is currently training under the Observe MMA with James Louie Larroza.
Verdadero said that he will try to play the same style of his opponent which is striking.
“So that I can play a different game. I will win the submission of this game,” said Verdadero.
“I will do everything in order to win,” he added.
It is presented by RedPalm Events and Promotions under Almar Kelly Odiong and sanctioned by the Games and Amusements Board.
