SOUTHPAW Filipina Norj Guro of Iligan City arrived last March 22 in Dubai for her much-awaited fight against Denise Castle of the United Kingdom on March 26 at the Habtoor Grand Hotel in Dubai.

Guro arrived together with trainer Brix Flores of Cebu. They had their first practice at the parking area.

“She just sweats a lot to maintain her weight,” said Flores.

After her training, Guro was already 101 pounds of her weight, which is under one pound. Guro is now five weeks into her training with Flores. They will again do their usual training again tomorrow.

Guro has seen a lot of tapes from fights by Castle already.

“She also fights well,” said Guro. But Guro can’t say what she will do against her.

Guro and Castle are vying for the vacant World Boxing Council Silver female atom weight title.

The event is promoted by Brico Santig of Highland Boxing Team in cooperation with Vic MMA.
