TRIATHLETE Lawrence Uy of Tandag and duathlon Judelyn Miranda of Tagum topped the over-all road bike competition in the BJMP Multisport Reloaded Duathlon last Sunday, March 20 at the New City Hall of Tagum in J.V. Ayala Avenue, Tagum City.
Uy, who is a national age-group triathlon winner, clocked one hour, 38 minutes and 25 seconds to win the male category in the Over All Road Bike race.
He was followed in second place by Juanito Mades Mahinay at 1:39:21. Third place was Albert Placibe at 1:40:15.
Miranda, a many-time marathon winner, on the other hand, topped the distaff side at 1:53:15.
“I'm very happy ‘coz after four years I'm back and playing even though I'm very lacking in training,” said Miranda, who got married to retired American David Fann in 2019.
She had only more than a month in training.
“Just be positive and serious in the game,” added the 38-year-old Miranda, who last competed in the South Korea 42K in 2018.
Second is Cristine Jane Cabayag with 1:57:48 followed by Joanna Marie Cruz (2:01:11).
Meanwhile, Jared Salisi Travilla and Jesseca Bayoyos won the Over All Mountain Bike race.
Travilla ruled the men’s competition with a time of 1:49:46.
